FAQ’s

What is it? Cryoskin works by using sub-zero temperatures to destroy body fat. We provide slimming, cellulite, and facial treatments that provide incredible results. Cryoskin is completely non-invasive and uses science that works with your body’s natural systems.

How does it work? The session lasts for around 30 minutes, and is done manually through a massage technique. The session begins with a heated massage, and then we decrease the temperature to -8° for the duration of the session.

Is it safe? Some fat loss and cellulite treatments can actually damage your skin. The sessions are very safe and non-invasive. The peltier effect gives Cryoskin precise temperature control creating the perfect conditions to reduce fat without damaging surrounding tissue. Many clients visit us during the lunch break or immediately before or after a workout. There is no down-time after the session.

How long does it take to see results? The first results are generally visible from the first session and often very encouraging. However, it should be noted that the best results appear from 15 days to 3 weeks after the first session and extend for several months afterwards.

What are common results? Research has shown customers are 38% slimmer after completing the recommended number of sessions. These results were seen over the course of 10 weeks after 100+ individuals completed 5 sessions each.

Is there a specific BMI (Body Mass Index) range where this works most effectively? BMI over 35 is difficult to treat the entire area. We recommend 35 and below.

Is it okay to treat tattoos? Yes.

What makes the Cryoskin 2.0 device unique? It is the first device which applies the cold temperature to fat in this way.The machine is manufactured by a company which makes over 40 different medical devices and has been doing so for the last 70 years. It uses an effect called the “Peltier Effect” to precisely control the temperature of the Wand (how the cold/heat is applied to the body). There are some significant safety measures to stop the coolant mixing with the electric circuits. This is very important as some cheap alternatives don’t have these features and this could lead to electrocution of clients.

How does the slimming work? As already described, the treatment works by triggering the phenomenon of apoptosis of the fat cells. This is achieved without risk to the other tissues (in particular muscular tissue) by the fact that the intracellular electrolytes of the fat cell are the first to crystallize in the cold before all the others. This crystallization is information brought to the cell to program self destruction. One could say that cryotherapy is a homeopathic treatment specific to the fat cell. (Homeopathy consists in inducing information to certain molecules).
