Naturally Improving Thyroid and Hormonal Health
Emerging Low-Level Light Therapy (LLLT)--also known as Photobiomodulation (PBM) technology available at Cryo Recovery, has shown great promise in naturally improving thyroid health. This is great news, because while traditional treatments like medications and surgery attempt to manage hormonal imbalances, they are often accompanied by considerable risks and side effects. A Randomized, Placebo-Controlled Clinical Trial
In a three year, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial, people who suffered from chronic hypothyroidism and thyroiditis were treated with LLLT (PBM). The results showed a significant difference in the mean levothyroxine dosage required to treat hypothyroidism. Moreover, 48% of the participants were able to get off of their medication entirely.
Thyroid Health: LLLT is effective at enhancing thyroid function. It reduced the organ-specific autoimmune responses mediated by TPOAb, and increased the echogenicity of the thyroid.
Reduction of Levothyroxine: 95.7% of patients were able to reduce their dosage of levothyroxine, while 48% were able to get off of their medication entirely.
A Decline in Thyroid Peroxidase (TBOAb): The presence of TPO antibodies in your blood suggests that the cause of thyroid disease is an autoimmune disorder, such as Hashimoto's disease or Graves' disease. These antibodies that attack the thyroid gland cause inflammation and impaired function of the thyroid.
Dosage: Both groups underwent 10 sessions of LLLT or placebo treatment twice a week for 5 weeks.
